OMG charter is the worst i only have 2 services i signed for all 3 but after missing 4 days of work waiting for telephone tech to even show up which did not happen at all he called his boss said no one was home i was on phone with rep in MY HOUSE on my cell phone saying thats funny he was no where near my home even ..................rep told me sorry had to reschuedule when i asked to speak with this techs boss they gave me bullshit story we are'nt allowed to do that...............i canceled phone i have vonage now works even better and as for the movie channels we have or on demand half the time you can crank your t.v all the way up and still not hear i have called and they blame it on the networks.............well tell them to give us sound how hard is that................if there where another fast internet around i sure would not be with charter but i am stuck for now...........i looked at the reward stuff and said why even bother just another thing to have to be on phone constatly with them about.......such a sad company i wish someone would get another cable provider and give us options

You are completely right about that. Half the time the techs don't even care enough to show up, and you wouldn't believe how many times I've had to tell the techs how to fix the problem because they are too incompetent to do it. The ONLY reason we use Charter at all is because we have no other option unless we want dial up or satellite. From my own experiences as well as discussions with others who have used satellite, you might as well stick with dial up.

We've dropped our services from the largest package they have to just the basics and raised them back up again only because it's so much more expensive to carry just the basic services. You end up paying less for more services but deal with more hassle because of the fact no one cares. We now know exactly why Charter is bankrupt.

I do login almost daily, but the point is most of us don't receive any of the emails that are supposed to tell us when the days start so when we do login, even if it is daily, everything is gone. Plus most of the redemption items suck anyway, and why am I going to spend 15,000 points on a dvd I could pick up for $10?

Charter Sucks because no one cares. Not the techs, not the sales staff and not the corp big wigs. Charter's thinks that if you have 3 of their service instead of one or two that you are less likely to cancel any services. Wrong, you now have more problems and more reason to curse the Charter name.

If you login and check once in a while, you would see that they are having Redemption Days every 3 weeks or so. I have picked up several posters, some baby trees for planting, some Mother's Day gifts, and another day is coming up shortly, but I won't hint as to which date, because that would be too easy for you, and I want all the goodies for myself.

They try to front as Bot's, maybe some are, but some are sooo stupid you can trick them if your smart, and flip the torment onto them.

I didn't get around to it yesterday, so I hope I can get it done today. I'm crossing my fingers because our entire bathroom looks disgusting. This house sat empty for 11 years, mainly used as storage, but the water was still on, so there's 11 years of buildup on everything. The toilet bowl is stained so badly the whole bottom of it is brown, and nothing I've cleaned it with has worked.

If this stuff works in the shower I might drain the toilet bowl and give it a good scrub. It's worth a shot, and if it doesn't do the job I'll finally break down and buy a new toilet.

Mostly I've been trying not to spend money if I can. I shop at the dollar stores a lot for things that I know I can get there cheaper, and I ask myself if I really need it before I buy it if I have to buy it elsewhere.

I'm going to beg for a never used number, but I doubt I'll get that lucky. When I added new lines to my plan a few months back I asked for non-recycled numbers, and I had to take numbers that aren't local to us b/c they said there were none at the time. They were planning on adding more prefixes for our local area, but I don't know if they have yet.

Our neighboring county and half of our county are both local to all the prefixes while the other half of our county is only local to half of them. No big deal for us since the lines were for my in-laws and I got numbers that are local to them, but I have to keep my number local to our area for my Mom who won't spend a cent on long distance and believes cell phones are the devil :-p.

Hmm...then again if I don't have a local number she can't call me 10x a day. Everyone else can b/c almost everyone else I know is on Verizon anyway. I may just be onto something ;-).

UGH! When I first got my phone, I had call after call after call from debt collectors looking for a man. How many times I told them it wasn't his phone number anymore I don't know, but it never worked. Finally asked Verizon to change my number and they did - for free no less - and then gave me a number that had never been used before.

Now I get calls occasionally but not often. :)

I got a chance to talk to Kate last night, and the children were immediately removed from the home Friday night. They were taken to the hospital to be examined, then they were taken to the local children's home for the weekend. I don't know if that's where they'll stay, but it's a great place that is setup in a family setting with 2 adults and no more than 10 children in each individual house, and they were able to place all 4 girls in the same home. Those little girls are safe now, and that's all that matters. I hate seeing children end up in the system, but I fully believe these little girls are better off now.

I remembered that someone I used to be friends with years ago is now a cop in the town the woman lives in. I tracked him down yesterday, and he made plans to meet Kate last night after his shift started to go to the woman's house! I've been tossing and turning all night waiting to hear from her hoping the woman and kids were home when they showed up. If not the cop is going to have someone on day shift ride by there today. I'm going to call Kate first thing this morning to see what happened. I hope they were able to get those kids out of there!

Have them call the cops, they will do something about it. That woman needs to be put in jail for what she is doing to her children. I would love to be able to adopt them, seeing how I cant have children, as it seems.

If the cops do nothing take them all to the hospital they all need to be checked out.

That is so wrong. I wonder if they aint taking them because they don't have a place to actually place all the girls together. Hell I would take them all, I may only have one room for them all to sleep in, but they would have there own beds. And being taken care of and actually going to school.

My advice would be to call the cops and the animal protective service (saying the animal are not being taken care of). The animal people will see it such a mess and then call the cops and then child services would have to come out and place those children in foster care.

Also I would take all of them to the hospital because they all need to be looked at.

The only two other things I could see doing would be to 1) Call the police, and/or 2) Bring in a friend to watch the other children while she takes the older one to the emergency room (I'd say risk the fines and take them all, but with 4 kids she'd still need someone to help her watch them all at the hospital). Make all her findings known at the emergency room-- they have to report it.

I know for a fact the woman doesn't have any neighbors. She lives in a double wide in the middle of a wooded area. I'm so pissed off right now I want to track the woman down and knock some sense into her. When I spoke to Kate this morning I told her going to the police should be her next option. Something HAS to be done about these little girls. The police CAN'T say they can't do anything because it's obvious the two older girls are NOT being home schooled. The mother couldn't even show Kate the material she was using for home schooling.

I called child services again, but I was told they couldn't file a complaint based on what I was telling them because it was "word of mouth". I had to actually see it in action. Child services in our area is a seriously fuct up service. Everyone of them needs to be fired and replaced with competent people who actually care about the children they're supposed to be protecting.

This is really messed up OMG....I would call the local news channel or better yet call the police and have them come into the house this is totally insane...OMG how very sad is this? Those poor little girls..this truly breaks my heart to read this. It makes you want to go to where ever they are and grabbed up those girls to rescue you them and take them to a good home! Awe what is wrong with Child Services. What about neighbors nobody complains? Nothing OMG so unreal
